Which one should I get first?
If your hair falls flat, start with the Hair Texture Powder — it's the root-lift tool. If your hair has volume but no shape, start with the Sea Salt Hair Spray.
Can I use both together?
Yes. Spray into damp hair, dry it, then powder at the roots. Not the other way round — powder on damp hair turns to paste. Use less of each than you would alone.
Do they give a strong hold?
No. Both give light, flexible texture. If you need a firm hold that lasts all day, you want a clay or paste, not these.
What hair types do they suit?
Short-to-medium length, fine-to-medium thickness. Straight, wavy or loosely curly. They're not the right tool for very thick or coarse hair that needs firm hold, or for very long hair.
Does the powder leave a white cast?
Not once it's worked in properly. If you can see it, there's too much on the surface — massage it into the roots with your fingertips rather than patting it on top.
Is sea salt spray bad for your hair?
Salt is drying — that's the mechanism that creates the texture. It's manageable rather than harmless: use fewer sprays, keep it off the ends, and keep conditioner in your routine. Read the longer answer in our guide.
